We were able to stay inside the park, which is highly recommended since you won’t be wasting time driving back and forth in and out of the park. So after the hard Half Dome hike, we decided to explore the valley of the park instead. The mountains are one of my favorite thing about Yosemite, and walking along the valley you can feel the magnificence of these ranges.
You can visit the lower Yosemite Falls, it’s short walk to the bottom of the fall and you are allowed to climb across the rocks to get right next to the waterfall.
Another good stop is the Tunnel View overlook. This overlook offers an iconic view of the Yosemite scenery.
